Walk, cycle, explore or just sit and watch the ever changing views in the beautiful surroundings of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Staying at ‘The Bach’ will place you in the heart of it all.

Celebrated peaks of Pen-y-Fan, Corn Du, Fan y Big, The Blorenge, Skirrid Fawr, Hay Bluff and Fan Frynach all within 20 miles/ 30 minutes drive of the door - ask us for our favourite quieter routes to the top

Less strenuous but equally rewarding walks direct from the door for those just wanting a stroll or take a short drive to amble along the picturesque Monmouthshire-Brecon canal (the ‘Mon & Brec’)

Pick up the Cycle Across the Beacons route, the Taff Trail, or take on one or more of the iconic hill climbs: The Tumble, Llangynidr Mountain, Gospel Pass, Heol Senni (The Devil’s Elbow) or Rhiwr Road

Wind down watching the birds, including kites and ospreys, in the day or the amazing stars of the Brecon Beacons International Dark Skies Reserve at night, all from the patio at the cottage

For a break from the activities check out the cultural centres of Hay on Wye and Brecon (with 11th century Cathedral and fascinating museum), the celebrated Big Pit Museum or the foodie centre of Abergavenny

Not forgetting to stop for great pubs (including our award winning New Inn pub just down the road), cafes, and farm/producer shops (including the Welsh Venison Centre farm shop next door)

"Had a wonderful few days, such a beautiful place. Perfect for unwinding and enjoying the views. Did not want to leave."

"My parents stayed here a week or so ago... they absolutely loved it. Beautiful house and surroundings. Excellent location for exploring the Brecon Beacons. Will be coming again... in fact, they've already booked their next trip!"
